See How the Ford Escape Stacks Up Against the Toyota RAV4 in the Manheim Area

Finding the right SUV to handle the ins and outs of your busy life can be a challenge especially with so many different options available to drivers in Lititz. Ford has long been known for providing high-performance vehicles with powerful engines and legendary capabilities. The Ford Escape not only comes equipped for the challenges of the road ahead but also offer comforts and capacities that many other SUV models like the Toyota RAV4 just can't compete with. If you want to see how the Ford SUV stands out from the crowd, swing by Hondru Ford of Manheim and we'll walk you through the benefits it can provide for your driving experience.

Performance and Capabilities

  • While the Toyota RAV4 offers more initial horsepower and torque with its base 2.5-liter engine, it only has two engines in its lineup. The Ford Escape comes with three available engine options including turbocharged choices and the 2.0-liter EcoBoost® delivers 245 horsepower and 275 pounds per feet of torque. The RAV4 doesn't even come close to matching this output.
  • Both models can tow the same amount of maximum weight of 3,500 pounds. Only the Adventure trim of the Toyota SUV is capable of this amount whereas the 2.0-liter EcoBoost® engine on the Ford SUV has this capability and it's available on multiple trim levels.

Interior Capacity

  • If you're looking to provide the most comfort for you and your front row passengers, the Ford Escape is the model to choose. It offers a standard 39.9 inches of headroom and 43.1 inches of legroom which far surpasses the capacities in the Toyota model.
  • Both models offer similar cargo capacities and with the Ford model, you can easily utilize the 60/40 split-fold-flat rear seat backs to customize the interior to match your needs. Whether you're taking care of the grocery shopping trip in Mount Joy or you're getting out for some weekend fun, the cargo area has plenty of room to handle your needs.

Technology and Features

  • Each SUV offers impressive infotainment systems to have fun with: the Entune™ Audio system on the Toyota RAV4 and the available SYNC® 3 in the Ford Escape. The RAV4 system offers plenty of easy to use technology and navigable touchscreen with the compatibility of Apple CarPlay™ for drivers with an available smartphone device. The Ford SUV does you one better by offering integration of Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Both make an available eight-inch touchscreen to provide even easier access.
  • The available sound system for the Ford model is a ten-speaker audio system from Sony® while the Toyota SUV offers a JBL® with Clari-Fi® system.
  • Both offer a wide variety of amenities to make your daily drive enjoyable and easy such as an available Panoramic Vista Roof®, hands-free power liftgate and rain-sensing windshield wipers. If you're the type of driver in East Petersburg who loves the finer things in life, you'll do well at the wheel of the Ford Escape.

Safety

  • While the Toyota does offer many safety features as standard on their base model and up, there are a few features that require an upgrade that doesn't compare to the Ford Escape. The Ford SUV offers features like a Lane-Keeping System, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert and forward collision warning with brake support. The Toyota SUV either doesn't offer these features or offers lesser versions that require more expensive upgrades.
