The Manheim Central Food Pantry is proud to announce a month-long community food drive in partnership with Ford Motor Company and Hondru Ford of Manheim to raise awareness of food insecurity within our community and collect much-needed non-perishable food donations for local families and individuals in need.
Throughout the month of July 2026, community members are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items at Hondru Ford of Manheim, located at 350 South Main Street, Manheim, PA. Donations will support the Manheim Central Food Pantry's mission of providing supplemental food assistance to families and individuals residing within the Manheim Central School District.
"We are grateful for the support of Hondru Ford of Manheim as we work together to address a growing need within our community," said Committee President, Nancy Auker, of the Manheim Central Food Pantry. "This partnership not only helps us collect food donations but also brings greater awareness to the challenges many of our neighbors face every day."
How to Donate
Food donations will be accepted at Hondru Ford of Manheim throughout July 2026 during the following business hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The community-wide goal is to collect 2,500 pounds of non-perishable food donations by July 31, 2026.
Community Events
In addition to the month-long collection effort, the community is invited to attend two special "Help Fuel Our Community. Uniting Neighbors. Feeding Families. Celebrating America." events at Hondru Ford of Manheim:
- Thursday, July 9, 2026 | 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, July 25, 2026 | 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
These family-friendly events will provide an opportunity for community members to come together, enjoy great food, win prizes, and support neighbors in need by bringing food donations to the dealership.
